Surrey: Comedian Kapil Sharma's Kap’s Cafe in Canada's Surrey, which had recently reopened after it was targeted on July 8, was once again shot at, according to media reports. Reportedly, Sharma's cafe's windows had around half a dozen bullet holes.
Police rushed to the spot after reports of gunfire, but have yet to release official details regarding the incident. Locals described being jolted awake by the sound of firing. A purported video of the firing has surfaced on social media. Gunshots can be heard in the video.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Takes Responsibility
Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon, and Lawrence Bishnoi gang have reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack. A purported post regarding the same is going viral on social media.
"JAI SHRI RAM, Satshriakal.Ram ram sare bhaiyo ko aj jo y kapil sharma k kaps cafe..Surrey m firing hui iski jimevari, Goldy dhillon, Lawrence bishnoi gang lete h isko hamne call ki thi isko ring nhi Sunai di to karwai krni pdi ab b ring n sunegi to next karwai jaldi hi Mumbai krege"(sic) the post read.
Which roughly translates to, "We take responsibility for the firing in Surrey. We had called him, but he did not hear the ring, so we had to take action. If he still does not hear the ring next action will be in Mumbai," the purported post read.
Previously, the firing at Kapil's Kap's Cafe took place only days after opening. Last time, Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi claimed responsibility for the shooting, and demanded an apology from Kapil for his alleged objectionable remarks.
No customers were present in the cafe at the time of the incident but the attack has caused damage to the property.
