Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Lokayukta team has arrested record branch in-charge of Janpad Panchayat for taking a bribe of four thousand rupees. Accused Rambali Rawat was posted in Porsa Janpad Panchayat of the Morena district. He was taking bribe in lieu of providing the information sought under the Right to Information.
According to information Govind Tyagi, resident of Sainthra village of Porsa district had sought information about the construction works of his Panchayat from Janpad Panchayat Porsa under the Right to Information.
On 23 December 2024, complainant Govind Tyagi applied for Right to Information in Porsa district, but the record branch in-charge Rambali Rawat was not providing the information. He had demanded a bribe of five thousand rupees in lieu of giving this information.

Before giving this bribe, the complainant complained about the matter to Gwalior Lokayukta Police on 30 May. After receiving the complaint Gwalior Lokayukta laid its trap for the bribe-taking Babu, and first got the voice recorded, after which the Lokayukta police gave four thousand rupees laced with chemicals to the complainant Govind Tyagi on Tuesday.
After that, the complainant went to get information about the information officer with that money and handed over that amount to the employee who was demanding bribe. Immediately after this, the Lokayukta team arrested the bribe-taking Babu Ramwali Rawat red-handed.

On this the complainant complained to Lokayukta Gwalior on 30th May and taking action on this today Rambali Rawat, an employee posted in Porsa district was caught taking a bribe of four thousand rupees.
