Jabalpur Additional Public Prosecutor Caught Red-Handed Taking ₹15,000 Bribe, Booked Under Corruption Act
After the incident, the Lokayukta police have registered a case against the woman prosecutor

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Jabalpur Lokayukta team carried out another major action on Tuesday. The Lokayukta team arrested 59-year-old Additional Public Prosecutor Kuku Dutt red-handed while taking a bribe of ₹15,000 from his house.
Now the Lokayukta team is taking action against prosecutor Kuku Dutt under the Corruption Act and a letter is now being sent to the administration.

According to information Biharilal Rajak, a resident of Jabalpur Civil Lines, had lodged a complaint in the Lokayukta office. According to the complaint, he was acquitted by the court in a case registered in the year 2022. Despite this, female prosecutor Kuku Dutt, who was in the process of filing an appeal on behalf of the government, had demanded a bribe of ₹15,000 from him.
Along with this, the prosecutor had threatened that if the money is not given, she will manipulate the documents. After being harassed for about two months, the victim complained about the whole matter to the Lokayukta. During the investigation of the complaint, the allegations were found to be true, after which the Lokayukta team prepared a trap plan.

As per the predetermined plan, the Lokayukta team raided the Civil Lines residence on Tuesday. As soon as Kuku Dutt took the bribe amount in her hands, the Lokayukta team immediately arrested her red handed and took her to the Circuit House where the entire proceedings were conducted.
After the incident, the Lokayukta police have registered a case against the woman prosecutor under sections 7, 13(1)(E) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 (amended 2018).
