Congress Spinning Web Of Lies Over Caste Census: Dr K. Laxman | FPJ
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): National president of BJP Backward Class Morcha, Dr K. Laxman, came down heavily on Congress on Friday, accusing it of spreading misinformation regarding the Modi government’s decision to conduct a caste census.
Speaking at a Backward Class workshop held at the BJP office, Dr Laxman said the Congress claim that the decision was taken under pressure from Rahul Gandhi is “a lie.” He questioned why Rahul had remained silent on caste census during the years Congress held power at the Centre.
“Congress is only spinning lies. It never raised the demand for a caste census when in government. Now it’s trying to take credit for something it never supported,” Laxman said.

BJP state president VD Sharma, also present at the event, echoed Laxman’s views. He said Congress was unwilling to empower Backward Class Commission and hence did not grant it constitutional status.
Highlighting BJP’s track record, Sharma said the party has always promoted backward class leadership, naming Babulal Gaur, Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Mohan Yadav as examples of leaders from the community who were made Chief Ministers in Madhya Pradesh.
