71st National Film Awards winners were announced on Friday, August 1, 2025. Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey won the Best Actor award for their performance in Jawan and 12th Fail, respectively, and Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress award for her performance in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway.
Meanwhile, 12th Fail received the Best Feature Film award and Sanya Malhotra starrer Kathal won the Best Hindi Film award.
Shah Rukh Khan made his debut with the film Deewana in 1992. In these 33 years, this is the first National Award that the actor has received. However, his fans have been feeling that earlier there were many other movies for which he deserved it.
Meanwhile, even Rani Mukerji, who has been in the industry for 29 years, has won her first National Award. Just like SRK, even Ranians have always felt that she deserved the National Award for many other films.
Guneet Monga On Her Production Venture Kathal Winning National Award
Kathal, starring Sanya Malhotra, won the Best Hindi Film award. The movie was produced by Guneet Monga's production house, Sikhya Entertainment.
