Bhopal ASI Line Attached For Inaction Against Cyber Crime Suspects
The accused were running a call centre where the telecallers were appointed to lure people for online share trading.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Disciplinary action has been initiated against a sub inspector posted at Aishbag police station as he failed to take appropriate steps against suspects involved in cyber scam.
The accused were running a call centre where the telecallers were appointed to lure people for online share trading.
A departmental inquiry has also been launched against assistant sub inspector Pawan Raghuvanshi who has been attached to police line, police officials said.
According to reports, police team under ASI Pawan Raghuvanshi raided a call centre, which was being run near Prabhat Crossing on February 23 after two of its women staff approached police and claimed that they were not paid salaries.
They also alleged that the call centre was involved in duping bank customers. Police seized computer systems and 26 SIM cards along with a diary with details and mobile numbers of many persons. Eleven employees were found at the call centre who informed that they used to contact people for online share trading.
Moreover, some SIM cards found at the spot were suspected to be used in cyber crimes in Uttar Pradesh while transactions in Afzal’s bank account were also suspicious. Police sealed the call centre but did not register an FIR.
Moreover, police claimed that call centre operator Afzal Khan was not found at the spot. Police team later reached Afzal’s house, which was locked. Police officials said despite clues the ASI did not take appropriate action in this connection.
