Regarding the matter, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitendra Jitu Patwari said, "The government is making excuses of the court regarding Union Carbide's waste... If the government took this waste there (Pithampura in Indore), then it means that the government and government leaders had hidden financial interests behind it. Indore city continuously gave them (BJP) MPs, MLAs and Mayors, but BJP has given cancer to the future generation in return..."
