Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Under 'Operation Amanat' of West Central Railway’s Bhopal Division, the lost mobile handset has been handed over to Army Jawan.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) set an example of honesty and prompt service by returning a passenger’s lost mobile phone.
According to information, a passenger Manoj Gangude (36), a Lance Naik posted at Sunjwan Cantt in Jammu, was travelling from Jammu to Chalisgaon in coach B-5, berth number 63 on 9 August 2025.
The train stopped at Bhopal station’s platform number 1 at 12:50 am, he got down to get water. As the train departed at 1:01 am, he hurried to board again, during which his mobile phone fell on the platform.
RPF Head Constable Suresh Kumar Malviya, who was on duty near the station manager’s office, later received a call on the dropped mobile.
The caller informed that the phone belonged to Manoj and that it had been kept safely at the RPF post, Bhopal.
Manoj was advised to get down at Rani Kamlapati station and report to the RPF post in Bhopal.
The phone was deposited at the RPF police station, and upon Manoj’s arrival, it was handed back to him after he confirmed ownership by showing his Aadhaar card.
