New Delhi: In response to India's digital strike on Pakistani artists, The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) has banned Indian songs from being played on FM radio stations throughout the country in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which claimed 26 innocent lives.
Pakistan's Ministry of Information & Broadcasting called the move a "patriotic gesture" and stated that it reflects the collective sentiment of the entire nation. The Ministry "acknowledged with pride the efforts of all media stakeholders."
Earlier on Wednesday, India banned Instagram accounts of Pakistani artists. Indian government has also banned the YouTube channels of several Pakistani production houses from streaming in India. Many Pakistani dramas that were popular in India, have now been suspended in the country as well.
