A man in Chandigarh took to the social media platform X to report a theft at his residence. The thieves did not steal any valuables or money, but they simply took away 2 dustbins kept outside the gate of the house. Netizens are amazed by this dustbin stealing in broad daylight. In his X post, he urges the Chandigarh police to trace the thieves and to take action against them. Chandigarh Police have responded to the tweet.
The man wrote in his X post, "Sector 36 Chandigarh | @chandigarhpolice Kindly help trace the individuals who have taken away my dustbins. This is not just about the dustbins, but about the safety and security of our area. Requesting your prompt assistance."

The video shows CCTV footage outside his residence on August 14 at around 4 PM. It shows two men arriving on a two-wheeler wearing masks and helmets to hide their identity. One of them quietly closed the residence's gate and took away the dustbins in his hands. He then quickly sat on the two-wheeler, and they fled. The 37-second video does not show any identity proofs, and the vehicle number of the scooter is also not visible.
The Chandigarh Police also reverted on his tweet in the comments section. Replying to his tweet they asked him to report the incident in the local police station. The tweet reads, "contact to your concerned police station in this regard."

This incident coincides with the recent flower pots theft incident in Gurugram in March. A man in a luxurious car was seen lifting flower pots full of blooming flowers which were kept for beautification at the G20 conference. He was seen placing them in the back of a his car and fled away later, a billboard promoting the G20 conference can also be seen in the video.
