Swiggy Delivers Wrong Order, Sends Non-Veg Salad Instead of Veg In Now-Viral Goof-Up; Man Offers It To Needy After Delay In Customer Support

After waiting for assistance and eventually getting the issue resolved by a Swiggy executive named Khushi, he decided to offer the non-veg food to someone in need instead of simply discarding it. “Now gave the food to a needy who could eat non-veg today", Chopra shared.

Swiggy delivers Zomato order on incorrect address | X@Antriksh Chopra

In a recent delivery goof-up, Antriksh Chopra, a customer who ordered a vegetarian salad through Swiggy, was shocked to receive a non-vegetarian version instead. Making matters worse, he later realised the parcel, ordered by a Zomato user from Marthahalli in Bengaluru, was mistakenly delivered by Swiggy to his address.

Sharing the receipt of the wrong delivery, he narrated the scene on X. He first tried speaking to the customer care service on Swiggy, only to receive a delayed and perhaps unsatisfactory response.

More details

In his post, Chopra tagged both delivery platforms and wrote, “Why such attitude? First you deliver a Non-Veg Salad when I asked for Veg! Then your restaurant delivers a Zomato order meant for someone from a different area!".

"Now your chat support tells me to email& wait for 12 hours! Are you serious", the post read further.

In a follow-up post, Chopra added a pinch of humour: “Dear User X, today you aren’t getting your salad with so much extra because your Zomato order was delivered by Swiggy today! You might get my Veg order, and yours—Non-Veg—reached me. Not bad at all, wish it wasn’t Tuesday today".

Swiggy apologises, promises refund

"Thanks for your time. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced. We appreciate your feedback, and we are committed to quickly addressing these issues. We will share your feedback with the restaurant to help them improve their service and provide a better experience on the go. However, our team has processed a refund for you", Swiggy replied to his complaint.
