A Pakistani-origin woman in Texas shared a terrifying personal experience at a petrol pump. The video, posted on Instagram by Roohi Anwar on her account "soul.kashh", shows her refueling her car when an unexpected mishap caused petrol to splash all over her face and body.
In the video, Anwar is seen filling her car with petrol using the hose when she mistakenly pulled the nozzle while pressing the handle, causing the fuel to spray all over her face and body.
Anwar said she had water in her car and acted promptly. She also mentioned that she was sharing the incident to raise awareness. She urged people to stay careful and alert at fuel stations.
"Last night around midnight, I went to fill gas—something I do every week without thinking twice. But this time, I accidentally pulled the nozzle while pressing, and gas splashed all over my face and body. Alhamdulillah, I had water in the car and acted fast. I’m sharing this because accidents happen—even during routine tasks. Please be careful and stay alert at the pump. It only takes a second," her caption read.
Netizens React
Netizens have reacted to the video and raised suspicion that the video could have been staged.
One of the users said,"It’s fortunate that a camera was ready and filming." Another user said,"Just wondering why did you plan to film it in the first place?"

One of her followers came to her defence and said, "Honestly the amount of people bothered by the filming and making nasty remarks rather than showing concern for your safety is just horrible. I am so glad you are ok Roohi May Allah swt keep you safe always. Take nazar off and be gentle with yourself. It was an accident and ShukarAllah your ok."
