Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident has come to light in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. A soldier posted in Manipur was brutally beaten up by villagers, mistaking him to be a thief. The soldier was returning to his village with his cousin. At night, their bike ran out of petrol on the way. When they knocked on the door of a house in the hope of help, contrary to expectations, they were met with accusations and a beating.

According to the incident, the victim, army man Mohan, who is currently posted in Manipur, had come to his village for some family work. Late at night, he went out on a bike with his cousin for some work. On the way, the bike ran out of petrol, and seeing no means of transport in the dark, he knocked on the door of a house for help.
In the hope of getting help, the soldier met with an unfortunate and unreasonable beating. The villagers who are disturbed by the continuous robberies and a group of criminals mistook the soldier for a thief and started beating him without knowing the truth.

The video shows the soldier severely hurt by the beating from the villagers. Reportedly, the physical attack caused a serious head injury to the soldier as blood was flowing from his forehead region.
Local Police Intervened And Rescued The Soldier:
On receiving the information, the local police reached the spot and, with great difficulty and long efforts, removed the crowd and freed the soldier from their clutches. Later, when the truth came out after seeing his uniform ID, everyone was shocked. The police sent the injured soldier to the hospital for treatment.
The incident is raising concerns over how people are people take the law into their own hands without knowing the truth.
