When we talk about annoying traffic, Bengaluru usually takes the infamous crown. We’ve all heard the classic Bengaluru road congestion jokes, but this time, Pune got its frustrated moment in the spotlight.
A viral X post from Pune just gives the other Indian city some serious competition.
A Punekar’s relatable traffic rant is now doing the rounds online. On June 18, a person shared that they drove to the airport to send off their friend, but their return was much after the friend landed in Dubai. Taking a dig at the city traffic, the X user pointed out that they were struck on their way back home, only a few kilometres away, while their friend reached an international destination.

While most non-stop flights from Pune to Dubai clock in at around 3 hours and 35 minutes, this commuter’s road journey across the city outlasted an international flight — and the internet is in splits.
