The internet never forgets, as the 2013 tweets by Iran's supreme leader Khamenei have resurfaced on the social media amid the Israel-Iran conflict. As the war intensifies, netizens have started trolling with resharing old feminist & liberal tweets posted by Khamenei.
In these tweets dating back over a decade, Khamenei expressed his love for poetry, his stance on women's empowerment and their rights and also admits his 'naughty & playful' behaviour in school. He is the same Khamenei who recently warned the United States of “irreparable damage” if it becomes involved in the conflict against Israel.

One tweet that expresses Khamenei's take on Women's rights, reads, “Man has a responsibility to understand #woman’s needs and feelings and must not be neglectful toward her #emotional state."
Among the most widely shared tweets, this one is where Khamenei reveals his childhood, “I went 2school w/a cloak since1st days;it was uncomfortable 2wear it in front f other kids, but I tried 2make up 4it by being naughty&playful,” he posted in 2013.
Iran's 86-year-old supreme leader who is partly influencing the war escalations has also expressed his love for poetry in one of his old tweets dated back from Feb 25, 2015. The tweet reads, "I'm not into cinema and visual arts but when it comes to poetry and novels, I'm not just a typical audience."
Mr Khamenei even commented on reading a book by India's first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, to understand the India's past.

The old tweets are piling up now at the same time when Iran is at a war against Israel and is not in the mood to take a step back even after contineus pressure from Israel and United States.
