The footage begins with Nery using her phone while preparing for a live broadcast on a sidewalk in Botafogo, in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro. A man on a motorbike can then be seen in the background, gradually approaching her.
As he rides past the journalist, the unidentified man suddenly extends his hand and snatches the phone from her grip. Nery can be heard screaming in shock before saying an abusive word as the robber speeds away.
