A gamer in China, named Qiaoben, claimed he received virtual slaps and humiliation in the game Three Kingdoms Kill Online, which he had actively played and been a fan of for 15 years. He revealed that he was virtually slapped 4,800 times and pelted with eggs and straw sandals, which pushed him into depression. He has recently sued the online gaming company.

The 'traumatised' man sought compensation over 'self-esteem' issues after his opponents slapped and trolled him during the game. According to a report in the South China Morning Post, Qiaoben was charged with items like eggs and straw sandals after every victory. His competitors would throw these items and 'virtually slap' his avatar.
Qiaoben expressed others would 'hit' him to vent their frustration after losing. “Every time I am hit with eggs, I feel my self-esteem is harmed and I get depressed,” the local news outlet quoted the gamer.
He reportedly took legal action against the online gaming company claiming it “tolerated” and “allowed” players to throw these offensive items at each other because it profited from the sales.
