Bihar: Member of Lok Sabha, Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, is being criticized on social media for distributing cash to flood victims in areas in Rupauli and Kursela in Bihar in an 'undignified way'. The criticism sparked when the MP was spotted giving out cash to victims while sitting in a moving car, and people being dragged by the car's window.
What was supposed to be a sweet gesture turned into a debate when Purnia MP, Pappu Yadav, was captured donating money while dragging people on the road to his car's window. Before he let out some cash, he had reached out to the flood-hit areas to inspect the situation and damage. He also provided relief materials to the villagers who faced the brutal floods earlier.
The debate appeared when the video went viral of Pappu Yadav sitting in his car comfortably while handing out a note from bundle of cash to villagers one by one. People were getting desperate to get the cash, getting dragged while trying to hold the moving car's window.

Earlier, Pappu Yadav shared on X a video of him providing relief material to the flood-hit victims. He cited the video as Rakshabandhan's gesture towards the villagers. He wrote, "My Raksha Bandhan meaning is this: Fully dedicated to the suffering people Serving the flood victims of Kursela and Rupauli The highest duty, the most cherished goal, my everything Offered! The sole purpose, to help every victim"
