Lucknow: Presenting the draft Vision Document 2047 in the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said it will be finalized with inputs from experts, NITI Aayog, and the public. Building on eight years of progress, the government aims to make Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy by 2030, raise the growth rate to 20% in five years, and chart a course toward $6 trillion by 2047, increasing the state’s GDP share from 9.3% to at least 16%, he stated.
The Chief Minister said that the current national per capita income is about Rs 2 lakh, while Uttar Pradesh’s average is much lower. The goal is that by 2047, the state’s per capita income should be at least Rs 26 lakh annually, equal to or above the national average. CM Yogi said the government’s aim is to realize the vision of Viksit Bharat – Viksit Uttar Pradesh and Atmanirbhar Bharat – Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh. For this, three main themes have been set, covering 12 sectors.
CM Yogi said that to advance these themes, 12 major sectors have been identified, based on the Prime Minister’s 5T principle of Trade, Tourism, Technology, Tradition, and Talent. Short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals will be pursued in these sectors step-by-step so that by 2047, Uttar Pradesh becomes the country’s leading state in economic, social, and cultural fields.
These will be the 3 themes and 12 sectors :
1. Arthashakti: Engine of inclusive development
•Promoting innovation in agriculture
Focus on agriculture development, agricultural education, horticulture, sugarcane and sugar industry, irrigation, and water resources.
•Pashudhan Samridhi
Work on animal husbandry, dairy development, and fisheries.
•Udyogo Ki Udan
Industrial Development Department, MSMEs.
•Digital Pradesh
IT and Electronics, Department of Science and Technology.
•Aastha Ka Samman
Tourism, Charity, and Culture Department.
2 . Srujan Shakti: Foundation of development
•Ease of Living
Urban Development, Housing and Urban Planning, Rural Development.
•Sugamya Pradesh
Transport Department, Civil Aviation, and related connectivity improvement departments.
•Santulit Vikas
Renewable energy, green hydrogen, hydropower.
3. Jeevan Shakti: Samridha Jiwan and Sashakt Samaj
•Priority to the underprivileged
Women and Child Development, Social Justice, Food and Civil Supplies, Labour Department, Minority Welfare, and Youth Welfare Department.
•Arogya Pradesh
Health, Medical Education, AYUSH Department.
