Google has officially announced the launch date for its upcoming Pixel 10 series smartphones in India. The new devices are scheduled to go on sale starting August 21, a day after their global unveiling event on August 20. This launch strategy signals Google's plan to position India among the first wave of countries to receive the Pixel 10 series, aligning with other major markets such as the United States.
The Pixel 10 lineup will be available for purchase through Flipkart and the Google Store in India. Google is also offering a range of exclusive launch benefits and pre-order perks to customers who opt to buy directly from the Google Store. These could include special discounts, trade-in offers, and bundled accessories.
In anticipation of the launch, Google has taken significant steps to enhance its after-sales service in India. Earlier this month, the company introduced same-day repair services for Pixel devices in key Indian cities. This move is seen as a part of Google’s broader strategy to improve the ownership experience and support infrastructure for Pixel users in the country.
The teaser released by Google India hints at the imminent opening of pre-orders or direct sales starting August 21. It also releases the Pixel 10 Pro design, which sees very little change from the predecessor. The phone is seen in a metal silver colour option, but the phone will be unveiled in other colour options as well.
Although the company has not yet disclosed full specifications or pricing details, the teaser campaign and coordinated global release suggest a major push to expand the Pixel brand’s presence in the Indian premium smartphone segment.
The ‘Made By Google’ hardware event will be held in New York on August 20 and it will begin at 1pm ET (10.30pm IST). The company is largely expected to announce the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Apart from flagship-level specifications, the phones are expected to integrate hoards of AI-features to help make mundane tasks easier. Past leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 range will include a new processor, a better display, and faster biometrics. The Pixel 10 range is likely to come with the TSMC-made Tensor G5 chip.
