The iPhone 17 series launch will be held in September. Apple traditionally holds its annual hardware event in that month, and it’s unlikely to change course this year. Apple is heavily rumoured to introduce a new model - the iPhone 17 Air – which is likely to replace the Plus variant. If you are not an Apple fan or just can’t wait to buy a flagship device till September, then these promising upcoming launches should surely be considered.

The next-gen foldable is launching on July 9 at the global ‘Summer Unpacked’ event. Samsung has already started taking pre-reservations for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the Indian market, and it is likely that these customers will get priority over others. If you need a smartphone change urgently, then this flagship device is worth a consideration. Samsung is likely to focus heavily on AI-backed features this year and it should reflect to massive changes in camera, photos, contacts, and pretty much every app or interaction on the phone.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
Alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, the Korean tech giant is also taking pre-reservations for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. This is different in terms of its folding technique and form factor. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a book-like folding mechanism, whereas the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has a flipbook like opening mechanism. This smartphone will also have flagship-level specifications and features and is a great option to consider, instead of the iPhone 17.
Nothing Phone 3
Carl Pei’s Nothing also has a strong presence in India. The hardware company is all set to launch the Nothing Phone 3 on July 1, and it will be made available on Flipkart upon launch. While official pricing and availability is not known, the phone is said to be priced at around Rs. 90,000, which is a lucrative price range for flagship phones. The Nothing smartphone range is lauded for its unique design, sturdy build, and great specifications.
Vivo X Fold 5
This flagship foldable was unveiled by the tech giant just a few days ago in China. It has a sleek design, a great camera, and flagship-level specifications integrated. Given that the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, its predecessor was made available in the Indian market, the company will also make the Vivo X Fold 5 available soon. There is no timeline announced yet, but it’s only a matter of time. The Vivo X Fold 5 also will have a book-like folding mechanism.
Google Pixel 10 series
Google is largely expected to launch its Pixel 10 series in August i.e. a month before the iPhone 17 series. Google hasn’t made anything official yet, but the tech giant may want to take the lead and grab in all the bookings ahead of the Apple unveil. Everything about the Pixel 10 is speculation at this point. It is said to pack a larger battery than the Pixel 9 and support faster charging. The design language is likely to remain the same, with minimal changes. Furthermore, the Pixel 10 series may have a tele-macro lens and an ultrasonic fingerpirnt sensor.
