A massive brawl broke out between Roman Reigns, CM Punk and Seth Rollins on the latest episode of WWE Smack Down hosted by Bologna, Italy. Due to the brawl, a triple threat match has been scheduled between all three superstars in Wrestlemania 41, which will take place on April 19 in Paradise, Nevada.
It was Reigns, who made his way to the ring first and Rollins interrupted him, followed by Punk. Punk started the brawl by going after the former undisputed champion. Rollins also joined the fight before pointing to the Wrestlemania sign.
A handful of security personnel had to step in to stop the brawl, but they struggled to do so.
Know how the rivalry between the three superstars emanated
Punk, who returned to the WWE in 2023 for the first time since 2023, became the target of both Rollins and Drew McIntyre. After the feud with McIntyre ended with a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood, Punk returned to join Roman Reigns' team at the Survivor Series.
The former WWE Champion then got involved in a feud with Rollins that culminated in the RAW Netflix premier where the latter lost. Punk had notably eliminated both Rollins and Reigns during the Royal Rumble as well. Rollins went on to cost Punk the Elimination Chamber match with a curb stomp. Rollins also defeated Punk in a steel cage bout but Reigns attacked the former.
Reigns also assaulted Punk after he saw Paul Heyman tending on to him.
