Spanish Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz was seen bringing out a fiery celebration after a hard-fought victory over Audrey Rublev in the Cincinnati Open 2025 quarter-finals held on August 16, Saturday. In a video surfaced on social media, Alcaraz couldn't control expressing his energy and celebrated his heart out with a fiery gesture.

Alcaraz, who has five grand slams under his belt, had won the first set 6-3 but Rublev came back strongly to take the second with a margin of 6-4. Nevertheless, the 22-year-old won the hard-fought final set 7-5 to set up a semi-final bout with Alexander Zverev.

"I just stayed strong mentally" - Carlos Alcaraz
Speaking after the match, Alcaraz revealed that he stayed upbeat despite losing focus during the second set of the bout as not maintaining positivity against Rublev can hurt his chances. He stated, as quoted by BBC Sport:
"I maintained positive thoughts all the time, even though I lost focus a few times during the second set. Playing someone like Andrey, when you lose focus on two or three points, it [can] cost you the set or almost the match. I just stayed strong mentally and that's what I'm most proud of."
Should the 22-year-old win the Cincinnati Open, it will serve as a massive confidence booster for him ahead of the US Open. Alcaraz has already the French Open this year. He had also reached the final in Wimbledon but suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Jannik Sinner. Hence,Alcaraz will be keen to clinch the US Open title.
