Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant revealed his pick for the winner of Wimbledon 2025 as he made his presence felt at the Centre Court during the Round of 16 clash between Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur. Nevertheless, Pant predicted that Carlos Alcaraz will emerge victorious.

Alcaraz, the Spainard, entered the tournament as one of the firm favourites to win the tournament, given he had defeated Jannik Sinner to win French Open 2025. He also defeated Cameron Norrie in straight sets 2-6, 3-6, 3-6 in the quarter-final to progress to the semi-final, putting himself on track to win the tournament.
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Pant said:
"I think I have to support Alcaraz. I think he is going to win the Wimbledon. That's my prediction. Rest whosoever plays the best tennis is eventually going to win."
"This is my first time here" - Rishabh Pant
Pant went on to claim that the experience of being at Wimbledon has been breathtaking and that Roger Federer was his favourite growing up. He stated:
"Just amazing. This is my first time here. Feels great to be here. When I started watching Tennis, my favourite was Roger Federer. I used to love his backhand. That was always something that inspired me. But the way the sport has been evolving, Djokovic has been amazing."
The left-handed batter has been in supreme form in the ongoing Test series against England which is now levelled 1-1 after two matches. Pant is currently the third-highest run-getter in the series with 342 runs in four innings with two centuries.
