RCB Marketing Head Nikhil Sosale on Friday was arrested At Bengaluru Airport In Chinnaswamy Stampede Case. According to India Today report, Sosale was on his way to Mumbai when he was held. Earlier on Thursday, a first Information Report (FIR) was filed against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and DNA Entertainment.

The report further states that, three staff members of DNA Entertainment Networks Pvt. Ltd., the organisers of the victory celebrations, were also detained by the police.The interrogation was underway at the Cubbon Park Police Station, where the FIR regarding the stampede was registered, with RCB, the event organisation company and the Karnataka State Cricket Association were named as accused.

According to the state government, DNA entertainment managed the RCB's victory celebrations while the KSCA reportedly organized the same. The case was been lodged under five sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including section 105, which relates to culpable homicide.

According to Republic report, Sosale was coordinating with event management firm DNA Entertainment Networks to organise promotional activities for the team’s post-season celebrations.

The promotional campaign included a widely circulated announcement of a “victory parade” stretching from Vidhana Soudha to the Chinnaswamy Stadium a move that reportedly did not have prior approval from city police authorities.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the parade promotion was unauthorised, and necessary police permissions had not been secured.
