NBA Playoffs: Why Steph Curry Didn't Finish Game 1 For Golden State Warriors Against Minnesota Timberwolves?

The Golden State Warriors suffered a huge setback as star guard Stephen Curry exited Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday due to a left hamstring issue. Curry appeared to sustain the injury after driving for a layup.

Curry came out strong at the Target Center, scoring 13 points along with a rebound and an assist in just 13 minutes of action. During the time on the floor, Curry shot 5-of-9 overall and knocked down three of his six attempts from long range. However, the momentum shifted midway through the second quarter when Curry appeared to be in visible discomfort during a timeout. He left the game and did not return before the break.

Steph Curry injury update

Head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Curry is being listed as day-to-day while awaiting MRI results scheduled for Wednesday. Kerr also indicated that the team is planning for Game 2 without Curry, noting the cautious approach required for a hamstring injury.

Golden State Warriors beat Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1

Despite Curry’s early exit, the Warriors managed to hold off Minnesota 99-88 and secure a crucial Game 1 victory on the road.Buddy Hield scored 24 points as the Golden State Warriors, while Jimmy Butler notched a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds for the seventh-seeded Warriors, who won for the second time in three nights after eliminating the Houston Rockets in a seven-game, first-round series. Draymond Green finished with 18 points and eight rebounds.

Anthony Edwards missed his first 10 shots from the field but finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds for Minnesota, which appeared rusty after a five-day break between games. Naz Reid scored 19 points off the bench and Julius Randle finished with 18 points.
