The BUDX NBA House 2025 kicked off in electrifying fashion on Day 1 at the Dome, SVP Stadium in Worli, Mumbai, as basketball legends and fans came together to celebrate the spirit of the NBA Finals. One of the highlights of the opening day was the much-anticipated 3v3 celebrity match between Team Payton and Team Fisher, featuring iconic former NBA stars at the helm. In the end, it was Team Payton that emerged victorious
Team Fisher was represented by acclaimed singer-songwriter, rapper and producer Badshah; actor and pro 3v3 hooper Arvind Krishna; actor, VJ and former national-level baller Varun Sood; actor, producer and former miss India Universe Simran Kaur; actor and writer Harman Singha; and Indian-American actress, model, and dancer Sonia Rathee. The team was captained by Managing Director of ACG and a key member of the hoop fraternity Karan Singh.
Team Payton featured Bollywood actress Disha Patani; artist, actor and choreographer Melvin Louis; actor, VJ and TV personality Rannvijay Singha; former captain of the Indian women's basketball team Shireen Limaye; former India No. 1 ranked 3v3 basketball player Dhruv Barman, and Indian-American actor Ankur Rathee. The team was led by Anand S Ahuja.
Indian fans are soaking in the action through the BUDX NBA House experience, making its India debut this year. The interactive, two-day event is a celebration of basketball, music, and culture, allowing fans to meet NBA legends like Payton and Fisher. About Gary Payton and Derek Fisher
Gary “The Glove” Payton, a nine-time NBA All-Star and 2006 NBA Champion with the Miami Heat, led his team to a well-fought win. Known for his elite defense and leadership, Payton also won Defensive Player of the Year a rare honor for a guard and a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics as part of the Dream Team.
On the other side, Derek Fisher, five-time NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers and a veteran of 18 NBA seasons, brought his competitive edge to Mumbai. Fisher, who later transitioned into coaching roles including with the New York Knicks, added credibility and championship aura to the matchup.
