The final Test between England and India at The Oval is hanging by a thread after an early end on Day 4 due to rain and poor weather. After four gripping days of cricket, all eyes will be on the weather once again on the fifth and final day on Monday, August 4. Here's how the weather looks like for IND vs ENG, 5th Test Day 5

IND vs ENG, 5th Test Day 5 weather report
According to Accuweather, the chances of rain increase to 60% after 2 PM. However, the UK Met Office paints a gloomier picture. It predicts a 40% chance of rain by 11 AM, and suggests steady rainfall from early afternoon until 5 PM, which means that the final two sessions could be wiped out. The first hour of play will be crucial for both teams, with England needing 35 runs, while India needs 4 wickets to level the series.

Bad light stops play on Day 4
Day 4 ended prematurely due to bad light and rain, just when the match was heating up. India had England under pressure early on, removing Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope before lunch. But then Harry Brook and Joe Root turned the tide. Brook, dropped on 19, punished India with a rapid 111 off 98 balls, while Root anchored the chase with his 39th Test century.
England, chasing 374 to win the match and the series 3-1, looked well on course. However, India's hopes were reignited late in the day when Prasidh Krishna struck twice, dismissing Jacob Bethell and the in-form Root.
Just as fans braced for a thrilling final session, bad light forced the players off. Moments later, rain sealed the day’s premature end. England still needing 35 runs and India only need four wickets to not only win the final match but also level the series at 2-2.
