The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has made an announcement that ticket holders for the India vs England 2nd T20I will be able to use the metro services to and from the MA Chidambaram Stadium popularly known as Chepauk in Chennai at free of cost on matchday. Chennai is set to host the 2nd T20I match which will be played on Saturday, January 25.

Previously, the Chennai Metro Rail, in partnership with the TNCA, had offered free metro travel for ticket holders during the IPL 2023 season matchdays. The initiative is to ease potential traffic congestion around the iconic venue, which is near Marina Beach.

The last time match was played in Chennai was back in 2024 when India hosted Bangladesh in Test series. However, the MA Chidambaram Stadium will host a white-ball match for the first time since the 2023 World Cup.
