Team India head coach Ravi Shastri's Coldplay reference on air went viral during day five of the fourth Test against England at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. With the cameras panning to a couple of fans on the stands at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Shastri said, 'It doesn't look like a Coldplay moment'.
The reference of Coldplay came in the wake of ex Astronomer CEO Andy Byron's cuddly moment with fellow colleague Kristin Cabot getting caught on the camera during the concert in Boston, forcing them to hide their faces on the spot and stepping away. The moment has created great furore in various social media platforms in the last few days. Meanwhile, the 63-year-old made the reference as the Indian lady was seemingly seen teasing the male England cricket fan.
Watch the below video of the same as Shastri says the below while commentating alongside Mel Jones:
"Seems okay. Doesn't seem like a Coldplay moment. They are happy."
"Extremely pleased with the batting" - Shubman Gill
With Team India pulling off a great escape to draw the match ahead of the fifth Test, visiting skipper Shubman Gill lauded the players for showing the stomach to fight after being down and out. The Punjab-born cricketer said at the post-game presentation:
"Extremely pleased with the batting, under pressure the last couple of days, we responded after losing those two early wickets, never easy ... It's all about taking the day five wicket out of the equation, every ball is an event, take it ball by ball and take it as deep as possible. Learned a lot of things, every match going into the last session of the last day ... these four matches, it's taught us a lot as a group. Hopefully we can draw the series."
Ben Stokes took home the Player of the Match award for his six wickets in the match alongside an innings of 141. India and England will resume their battle for the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy in the 5th Test at The Oval, beginning on July 31.
