Rishabh Pant made history at Headingley during the first Test between India and England by scoring a century in both innings of the match. He became only the second wicketkeeper in Test history to do this, after Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower, who scored two hundreds (142 & 199*) against South Africa at Harare in 2001.

In the first innings, Pant scored a powerful 134 runs off 178 balls, hitting 12 boundaries and 6 sixes. After reaching his hundred, he celebrated in his usual fun style with a somersault on the field, making fans and commentators cheer loudly.

In the second innings, Pant scored another brilliant 118 runs from 140 balls, this time with 15 fours and 3 sixes. But instead of another somersault, he surprised everyone with a different celebration. He copied footballer Dele Alli’s famous “eye” gesture, which quickly went viral on social media.

Pant’s twin centuries helped India stay strong in the match and added to his growing list of records. He now has the most Test centuries by an Indian wicketkeeper, going past MS Dhoni.

With two fantastic centuries, two unique celebrations, and a spot in the record books, Rishabh Pant has once again shown why he is one of the most exciting players in world cricket.
