Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli came up with a hilarious quip on teammate Swastik Chikara after the latter flaunted the photo clicked with the veteran following the IPL 2025 match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday. Kohli hilariously said 'Dimaag khaata rehta hai'.
The former RCB captain crossed a tally of 600 runs in IPL 2025 amid his brisk 54 to set the tone for the mammoth run-chase of 228 against the Super Giants. Although the right-handed batter fell at the crucial juncture of the contest, the Royal Challengers managed to get home with eight balls and six wickets to spare.
Following the match Chikara uploaded a selfie with Kohli on Instagram with caption, "King mode, up close."
In a video surfaced on social media, Chikara was seen running around with the selfie on his phone and Kohli quipped:
"Dimaag khaata rehta hai yeh." (He keeps on eating my head."
Royal Challengers Bengaluru to face the Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1
Meanwhile, the six-wicket victory has enabled the Royal Challengers to finish the league stage on top two, thereby setting up the Qualifier 1 clash against the Punjab Kings on May 29 in Mullanpur. The two sides had defeated each other once earlier in the tournament; hence, they would begin on an even scale this time around.
The Royal Challengers have previously reached the final on three occasions and have lost all of them; hence, they would want to break the jinx this time around. Punjab Kings are also one of the four teams yet to win the IPL trophy.
The Eliminator clash will take place on May 30 between the Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans.
