Former Real Madrid coach and current Brazil national team manager Carlo Ancelotti has been sentenced to one year in jail by a court in Madrid for tax fraud. The case is related to income from his image rights during his time at Real Madrid in 2014, which he did not declare properly to the Spanish tax authorities.
Ancelotti was accused of hiding money through companies outside Spain and not paying the required taxes. The court also ordered him to pay a fine of €386,000.

However, Ancelotti is not expected to go to prison because, under Spanish law, the sentence is below two years and he has a clean criminal record.
