Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan has come under criticism due to buying three goats from Ajmer for sacrifice ahead of Eid Al-Adha. In a video surfaced on social media, the right-arm speedster expressed his admiration for the goats he purchased and was excited for the festival. However, a section of netizens weren't quite impressed.

In a video that surfaced on social media, Avesh had said about the goats:
"Kaafi acche lage. Bakre khoobsurat bhi hain aur saaf bakre hain. Mujhe kaafi pasand aaye. Toh isliye maine yeh 3 bakre liye hain." (I liked them. The goats are very cute and clean. That's why I bought three goats from here.)

Avesh Khan was part of the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025
On the cricketing side of things, Avesh is coming off his IPL 2025 campaign with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The 28-year-old picked up 13 wickets in as many matches at 37.46 alongside an economy rate of 10.28. Nevertheless, the Super Giants failed to reach the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Their captain Rishabh Pant proved to be a major disappointment as he aggregated only 269 runs in 14 matches with one fifty and one century. As far as Avesh's international career goes, he has played in eight T20Is and 25 ODIs, picking up 36 wickets collectively. He was last seen in Indian colours in November 2024 during the T20I series against South Africa.
