The students of Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism have proudly upheld the tradition of achieving 100% internships and placements at both national and international levels this year as well. They have secured opportunities in five-star and seven-star hotels and other reputed establishments across India and abroad, marking yet another milestone of success. Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder President of Suryadatta Education Foundation, expressed that this noteworthy accomplishment is a matter of great pride and admiration for the Suryadatta Institute.
Students of ‘Suryadatta’ have consistently excelled in renowned hotels owing to their merit and skills. Kunal Amar Chaure, Harshal Ashok Gaikwad, and Anurag Parkhi have been selected for internships at Cordis Hotels in New Zealand. Ameya Anil Papal and Avishkar Santosh Wabale have secured opportunities at Seapoint Boutique Hotel in Mauritius. In Pune, Omkar Mirgunde, Sairaj Balwadkar, Sandeep Londhe, Pratik Sonawane, Sangram Ganje, and Pradeep Lagad have been placed at The Westin, Koregaon Park. Ninad Phadke and Arjun Nambiar have secured placements at The Ritz-Carlton, while in Mumbai, Avishkar Wabale at Trident BKC, Payal Dhanwe at JW Marriott Sahar, and Shraddha Chavan at Marriott Jaipur have received internship opportunities.
Other students too have been placed in reputed national and international hotels. In the past, Suryadatta students have worked across Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, USA, and New Zealand, excelling in the hospitality sector. Many have secured senior positions at renowned hotels such as Shangri-La Mauritius, Rittelberg Hotel Germany, Hilton Malaysia, Indian Kitchen Spices Ltd. China, The Regent Singapore, Holiday Inn USA, Renaissance Florida, Sun City Pattaya, and Marriott Singapore. Several alumni have also established their own successful businesses.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya stated, “SCHMTT, affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, NAAC-accredited, and recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, was established in 2005 and has now entered its 21st year. The college is ISO 9001:2015 certified. SCHMTT offers a B.Sc. in Hospitality Studies. The institution emphasizes creating professionals and entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector. Alongside academics, students are exposed to industrial visits, expert sessions, and food festivals based on various cuisines of Rajasthan, Goa, and Karnataka. These initiatives ensure students gain practical and comprehensive knowledge.”

Over the years, Suryadatta has been recognized as the Best Hospitality Management Institute by several reputed organizations,” added Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya.
In 2021, SCHMTT created a unique world record by preparing 7,000 kg of Misal in 7 hours with the help of 30 people, and distributing it to 30,000 individuals through 300 social organizations within just 3 hours. The institute has also set records for preparing energy-packed Chikki in record time, cooking Sabudana Khichdi for fasting devotees, and distributing it through volunteers. Moreover, Suryadatta students carried out a 24-hour continuous activity that included writing, reading, research, learning, observing silence, innovating, and creative thinking, which was recognized by the Limca Book of Records, Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya highlighted.
Mrs. Sushma Chordiya stated, “In its 21-year journey, Suryadatta has trained thousands of students. To ensure employment opportunities, Suryadatta organizes regular job fairs and CSR activities like food preparation and distribution during the pandemic. Students are also trained in entrepreneurial skills. More than 50 countries have hosted our students for internships. Alongside, students are offered short-term courses in fitness, beauty & wellness, gym training, and air hostess training, making them multi-skilled. This enhances their confidence, industry interest, and managerial skills. Due to their excellent coordination abilities, Suryadatta students have consistently excelled in the hospitality and travel tourism sector.
