Pune and traffic-related issues are an unending debate. At times, traffic congestion rules the news, at times traffic violations, and sometimes the actions of Pune traffic police. Since last month, the city's traffic police have been increasing their efforts to tame violations and fine people. While the operation against reckless drivers continues, a shocking viral video from Pune has surfaced in which a traffic police officer is seen taking a bribe from a rider.
While the part about taking money is not clearly shown in the video, the rider is indeed seen giving money from his pocket, and the post claimed that he gave the money.
As per a post on Reddit, the video is from the Viman Nagar area near Phoenix Mall. The post, titled "Revenue Minister Collecting Road Tax Near Phoenix Mall, Viman Nagar," has garnered over 400 upvotes and several reactions.

'March end vibes'
The description of the post notes, "Saw 5-6 traffic policemen rounding up out-of-state vehicles at Viman Nagar square. I saw people without helmets and people tripling getting by easily without any issue."
The comments below the post are slamming the city's traffic cops and overall corruption in the country.
One user commented, "March end vibes." The comment refers to allegations by Punekars that city traffic police fine people more in March.
"Corruption is destroying India. Well, offenders are paying bribes to get out with less money," wrote another user.
Well, this is not the first time a video of traffic police taking a bribe has gone viral in Pune. On several occasions, such videos have gone viral, and a cop was even suspended in one case.
