On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s death anniversary, students of Jethe’s Academy, Dhankawadi branch, paid tribute to his memory. They organised an inspiring event featuring speeches, poetry, slogans and skits based on his life and achievements.
The programme began with the garlanding of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s portrait and the lighting of a lamp. The entire hall echoed with loud chants of "Jai Bhavani! Jai Shivaji!"
Founder of Jethe’s Academy, Prof Anand Jethe, spoke about the greatness of the Maratha king. He said, "Shivaji Maharaj was not just a brave warrior but also a wise ruler. He worked for the welfare of his people and built Swarajya (self-rule) with great vision and determination."

Students participated by presenting essays, poems and songs about Shivaji Maharaj’s life. They also performed skits showcasing his smart war strategies and leadership skills.
Academy Director, Prof Deepali Jethe, encouraged students to learn from Shivaji Maharaj’s life. She said, "He fought for justice, self-rule and people’s rights. Young people today should take inspiration from his dedication and hard work."
At the end of the programme, co-founder and ex-serviceman Dilip Suryavanshi led the students in taking an oath to follow the values of Shivaji Maharaj. Everyone proudly chanted, "Har Har Mahadev!"
