In a shocking incident in Pune's Bibwewadi area, a man stabbed his younger brother to death with a kitchen knife over a domestic dispute. The incident occurred at their home around 10:30am on Monday.

According to the information received, the accused has been identified as Aniket Dattatray Navale (26), and the victim as Pravin Navale (24).

As per the police, Pravin was unemployed and an alcoholic. He used to trouble other family members by abusing and beating them up. On the other hand, Aniket works at a private company. He is married and has an 11-month-old baby boy. However, due to Pravin's behaviour, Aniket's wife left their home a few days ago.

On Monday morning, Aniket decided to have a discussion with Pravin after being concerned about his behaviour. However, the discussion turned into an argument. In a fit of rage, Aniket picked up the kitchen knife and stabbed Pravin twice in the stomach. Hearing Pravin's cries, the neighbours called the police, they added.

Pravin was taken to Sassoon General Hospital by the neighbours, where the doctors declared him dead.

The police have arrested Aniket in connection with the murder. Further investigation is underway.
