The statement made by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife, Amruta Fadnavis, during a program in Pune has become a topic of discussion. She said that Devendra Fadnavis is focused on Pune. She also mentioned during her speech that she tells him about many problems in Pune. While commenting on the problems in Pune, Amruta Fadnavis stated that Devendra Fadnavis considers Pune as his child.
"Pune is his baby," she added.
Amruta Fadnavis was present as the chief guest at a programme in Pune. During her speech, Amruta Fadnavis mentioned that she tells Devendra Fadnavis about the problems in Pune. “My grandmother also lives in Pune. When I come here, I feel like I have come to my mother’s house. I feel very close to the people here. When I come here, she tells me what is lacking here, what can be improved. Devendra Fadnavis knows, but I also tell him. I am happy that he also pays so much attention to Pune,” said Amruta Fadnavis.
Meanwhile, after the program, when media representatives asked why Devendra Fadnavis is paying so much attention to Pune, Amruta Fadnavis answered, “Pune is our cultural capital. Pune is a baby of Devendra Fadnavis. Devendra believes that Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur are his children. Pune also has many problems. Due to such rapid urbanization, some things have not been addressed yet. I also often realize that roads need to be better and transportation needs to be organized. The Metro has also made a big difference. But until the common man lives a happy life, I don’t think Fadnavis will reduce his visits to Pune,” said Amruta Fadnavis.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday inspected various local issues such as water-logging, traffic congestion and development projects during his visit to Pune.
The infrastructure woes of the Hinjawadi area have once again hit the headlines this year, with visuals of waterlogging in June going viral, showing a PMPML bus submerged halfway in water.
For the uninitiated, in the Rajiv Gandhi IT Park, Hinjawadi, incidents of waterlogging during the monsoon have been occurring repeatedly. Along with this, citizens and IT companies are facing several challenges related to traffic, roads, electricity, and other basic infrastructure.
