According to the information received, the family was not at home when the dog was allegedly raped. "The incident took place on March 26 at Maitri Apartment, Sundar Society, Handewadi. The accused has been identified as Alimuddin Aminal Shaikh (20). Regarding the matter, Chandrasekhar Yadav lodged an FIR at the Kalepadal Police station," said the police.

According to the police, on March 24, the complainant Yadav while going to his native village in Madhubani district, kept the 5-year-old Labrador female dog in the parking and suggested his neighbour take care of her till his comeback. The neighbour informed the Yadav family that their dog is crying since the last two days. Acting on the information, with the help of CCTV camera, Yadav noticed that the dog had been crying for the last two days on March 26 and 27. After analysing the CCTV camera it was found that Shaikh was playing with the dog on March 26 around 11:30pm in the parking slot and took her to a dark place in the area.

Complainant Yadav came back with his family on April 7. Following Shaikh's presence on the incident day at the parking slot, the complainant asked him but he denied to speak. Following the matter Yadav lodged a police complaint in Kalepadal police station. During the interrogation Shaikh accepted the crime done by him. Regarding the matter a case has been registered under sections 329 of BNS and 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 in Kalepadal Police station on April 11.

Speaking to The Free Press Journal, police officer Mansingh Patil said, "We have arrested the accused and the matter is under investigation. Technical analysis is underway accordingly action will be taken against him."

Meanwhile, in another case in Delhi's Kailash Nagar, a man was thrashed by locals and animal lovers, and was later handed over to the police for raping female dogs.

The man was thrashed and his clothes were torn by the people. A furious man can be heard asking him, "Kitno ke sath kara, bata," which roughly translates to, "How many dogs did you rape?" To which he responds, "Six." However, the woman who first confronted him for the shocking act claims that he raped 13 dogs.

The woman can also be seen thrashing him with a thick bamboo stick after he allegedly made nasty comments about her.
