Pune: Residents Alarmed By Hazardous Pothole On Bavdhan-Mulshi Route, Say 'A Serious Accident Is Waiting To Happen'

Concerns have risen among Bavdhan residents due to a significant and hazardous pothole located along the Bavdhan to Mulshi route. They fear the potential dangers this pothole poses to travellers on this road.

Sumesh Patel, a resident, expressed his worry, stating, "I use this road daily for my work commute, and that pothole poses a constant safety threat. It's just a matter of time before a serious accident occurs if it's not repaired promptly."

Vinod Sharma, another resident, echoed these concerns, emphasising that the problem can no longer be ignored. "It's not just an inconvenience, it's a real danger to all of us who rely on this route."

Residents are demanding immediate action to address this hazardous pothole, prioritising the prevention of accidents and the safety of all commuters. Vipul Deshmukh, a local resident, added, "The authorities must urgently tackle this issue. Our lives are at risk every time we pass by that spot."

Sumedh Verma, a local business owner, remarked that this pothole negatively impacts their businesses too. "Customers are hesitant to visit my shop due to the road's condition. We need a quick solution," he said.

Residents are adamant that the authorities need to prioritise their safety and promptly repair this perilous pothole. They express their frustration and insistence that they've had enough. They are hopeful that their collective voices will lead to a timely resolution, ensuring safer travel for all who use the Bavdhan to Mulshi route.

'It's been less than a year since this road was inaugurated'

Baramati MP Supriya Sule took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a photo of the pothole. She expressed her concern, stating, "A pothole has appeared on the road leading from Chandni Chowk to Mulshi. NHAI needs to inspect this roadwork. This situation has arisen not even a year after the road's inauguration. Such issues on the road not only inconvenience commuters but also jeopardise their safety. This is a very pressing matter."
