Expressing gratitude to the Railway Ministry and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Pune Rajasthani Samaj Sangh President Magraj Rathi said that the much-awaited Pune-Jodhpur-Pune daily train service will commence operations now.

The Railway Ministry has officially approved the service, with trains numbered 20495 and 20496 scheduled to run daily from Hadapsar. This development also highlights the follow up by the Rajasthani Samaj Sangh.

Rathi shared that the Rajasthani community in the district had been consistently demanding this service for several years. Support and persistent efforts came from Rajasthan MPs PP Chaudhary and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Pune MP and Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Maval MP Shrirang Barne, and a respected lady leader, all of whom had appealed to the Railway Minister on behalf of the community.

The announcement has brought joy to the entire Rajasthani community in Pune and nearby areas. Currently, around 60 to 70 buses operate daily between Pune and Jodhpur, and frequent road accidents have raised safety concerns. Although a weekly train had been introduced earlier, the demand for a daily service remained unmet until now.

Rathi concluded by emphasising the significance of the new service in enhancing safety and convenience for travelers, and thanked all officials involved in making it a reality.
