A disturbing incident has come to light at an English School in Daund Tehsil in Pune where a student allegedly gave a contract to fellow student from another class to rape and kill his female classmate. The controversy intensified after the school attempted to cover up the matter.
According to report on Network 18, a student had told her teachers that a student did a fake signature of his parents. After the complaint, student got angry and gave a contract worth Rs. 100 to a minor student in another class, and asked him to rape her and then kill her.
The principal and two teachers tried to suppress the incident in an effort to protect the school’s reputation. However, the matter was eventually reported, and a case has been registered at the Daund Police Station. The FIR includes charges against the principal, along with a class teacher and another teacher, for allegedly mentally harassing the minor student and damaging her academic performance by attempting to cover up.
Last year in September, Pune Rural Police arrested four young men in connection with the rape of two minor girls from Baramati after allegedly forcefully making them drink liquor in the Hadapsar area on September 14. The accused have been identified as Dnyanshwar Atole (27), Yash alias Sonya Atole (21), Jay More (25), and Aniket Bangare (20).
Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Pankaj Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police, Pune Rural Police, said, "The accused and the victims are residents of the same village in Baramati. They are all aware of each other. On September 14, both victims left their home, informing their parents that they were going to a temple. However, the minor girls did not return home. Their mothers registered a missing complaint at the local police station on September 15."
