A major incident of theft has come to light from the bungalow of the Pune Municipal Commissioner in Model Colony, where items worth around ₹20 lakh were found to be missing, including four air conditioners, LED TVs, chandeliers, antique brass lamps, a coffee machine, an aquaguard, walkie-talkies, remote bells and kitchen fittings.
The incident came to light on Tuesday. However, regarding the matter, no FIR has been lodged yet.

These items reportedly vanished during the transition period after former Municipal Commissioner Dr Rajendra Bhosale vacated the residence and before the newly appointed Commissioner, Naval Kishore Ram, took charge.
Shockingly, the bungalow is monitored by CCTV cameras operated by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), raising serious questions about internal security, monitoring and asset management.

Speaking to the media, Naval Kishore Ram said, “I am not aware of what items were present in the bungalow before I moved in. We brought a lot of our own belongings with us. Earlier, Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale was residing here. We will now examine who is actually responsible and initiate an inquiry into the matter. The PMC will take responsibility, investigate what happened, and take appropriate action.”
