A statement was submitted under the leadership of Azim Syed, Nashik District President of Maharashtra Vahatuk Sena, regarding various problems of vehicle owners. In this, it has been alleged that new conditions are being imposed regarding the speed governor installed as per the government order in 2016, which is unfair.

"In 2016, the speed governor was installed as per the government order by spending ₹18,000 to 20,000. Even today, they are in good condition, but now orders have been given to install a new 16-digit speed governor. This is coercion, and vehicle owners are having to pay a fine for no reason," Syed said. Along with this, he complained that a fine of ₹3,000 is being imposed for the renewal certificate.

Similarly, the mandatory installation of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) and the rates charged for it are double compared to other states. It has been demanded that they be charged at the same rate as the state.

A complaint has also been made regarding radium. Despite the fact that good quality radium was installed last year, they are being forced to install new radium and a new certificate fee is being charged for it. It has been demanded that this should be banned.

"Vehicles are sent seven kilometres away for fitness inspection, and an additional fee is asked there too. Even though the facility is available at the RTO office, it is not used," said Syed.

If vehicles coming from rural areas encounter any obstacles in the inspection, they are called back the next day. Instead, they should be given fitness on the same day, he demanded.

The school administration is refusing to issue the 'No Objection Certificate' required for license renewal to vehicle owners, and the RTO administration is also objecting to vehicles in the name of the school and making it mandatory to name them 'Student Vehicles', Syed said, adding, "This should also be resolved immediately."

"The school administration is not cooperating in obtaining a 'character certificate', due to which the police department is reluctant to issue the certificate. The RTO administration should contact the police department in this regard," he also demanded.

These unfair conditions should be immediately revoked; otherwise, the Maharashtra Vahantuk Sena will launch a strong agitation, warned Azim Syed.
