When it comes to crime series, Indians resonate deeply with CID, and when it comes to CID, the iconic ACP Pradyuman is the favorite character of the series. CID is one of the longest-running and most successful Indian shows on television. Shivaji Satam made the character of ACP Pradyuman iconic with his incredible acting.

ACP is famous among memers and has quite a few fans. A few such fans of the series and character ACP Pradyuman met the man who immortalized the character, Shivaji Satam, on the set in Mumbai. Satam took to social media to post the photo of them, calling them "VIPs on the set." They were a few vision-impaired fans of the series from Pune.

"VIPs on CID set… 5 of my ‘vision impaired’ friends & die-hard fans from Pune visited me on the CID sets, and what a happy occasion it was for them, me, and all of us on the sets," he wrote as he posted the picture.

The much-awaited CID 2 debuted on December 21, 2024, on Sony Entertainment Television, occupying the familiar 10 PM time slot. Unlike its predecessor, which was traditionally aired on Fridays, this new season followed a revised schedule, premiering on weekends instead.

On January 21, 1998, Sony Entertainment Television premiered the renowned Indian television series CID, which focused on police investigations. B. P. Singh was the show's creator and co-producer, working with Pradeep Uppoor under the Fireworks Production company. ACP Pradyuman was portrayed by Shivaji Satam, Senior Inspector Abhijeet by Aditya Srivastava, Senior Inspector Daya by Dayanand Shetty, Inspector Fredricks by Dinesh Phadnis, and Dr. Salunkhe by Narendra Gupta. One of the longest-running television dramas in India, the series is set in Mumbai.

Since its 1998 debut, the show has marked a number of milestones: on January 18, 2008, the 500th episode aired; on September 13, 2013, the 1000th; and on February 25, 2018, the 1500th. In December 2024, the show's second season was revealed. CID developed a loyal following and cemented its place as a cult classic in Indian television history thanks to its original narrative approach and distinctive format, which won it significant praise.
