ACP is famous among memers and has quite a few fans. A few such fans of the series and character ACP Pradyuman met the man who immortalized the character, Shivaji Satam, on the set in Mumbai. Satam took to social media to post the photo of them, calling them "VIPs on the set." They were a few vision-impaired fans of the series from Pune.
"VIPs on CID set… 5 of my ‘vision impaired’ friends & die-hard fans from Pune visited me on the CID sets, and what a happy occasion it was for them, me, and all of us on the sets," he wrote as he posted the picture.
CID and the history
CID ran from January 21, 1998, to October 27, 2018, and shot 1547 episodes in total. After a hiatus of six years, the series returned to television in December. The key members of the show reprised their roles, such as Shivaji Satam, Daya Shetty as Daya, and Aditya as Abhijeet.
The much-awaited CID 2 debuted on December 21, 2024, on Sony Entertainment Television, occupying the familiar 10 PM time slot. Unlike its predecessor, which was traditionally aired on Fridays, this new season followed a revised schedule, premiering on weekends instead.
