Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has announced the 24-hour water supply disruption scheduled to begin at midnight on April 24, 2025, and end on April 25. This water cut is necessary to facilitate crucial repair work at the Jambhul Water Purification Centre, managed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

The water supply will be completely shut off in several areas across Thane. Affected areas include Diva, Mumbra (except parts of Ward No. 26 and Ward No. 31), Kalwa Ward Samiti, Rupadevi Pada in the Wagle Ward Samiti, Kisan Nagar No. 2, Kolshet Khalcha Village in the Nehru Nagar area, and the Majivada-Manpada Ward Committee.
Residents in these regions are being urged to prepare for the outage by storing enough water in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the period of supply interruption.
This announcement was made by TMC via an X (formerly Twitter) post on Wednesday. The civic body emphasised the importance of this repair work, which is essential to maintain the quality and consistency of the water supply for the future. While the TMC is taking necessary actions to ensure the work is completed promptly, they have requested full cooperation from the residents of the affected areas.
The water cut is part of ongoing infrastructure maintenance and development efforts by TMC, which aims to improve water distribution and purification systems across the city. TMC has reassured citizens that once the repair work is completed, the normal water supply will resume without further disruptions.
BMC Announces 24-Hour Supply Disruption In 2 Wards From April 26
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced the water cut for this weekend in N and L wards due to the planned infrastructure work in the Ghatkopar West. The water supply disruption will begin at 10 am on Saturday which is April 26, and will continue until 10 am on Sunday, which is April 27.
