Thane News: Massive Fire At Dombivli MIDC Textile Unit; No Casualties, Loss In Lakhs Suspected

A massive fire broke out at a textile processing company in the MIDC area of Dombivli on Wednesday afternoon. No casualties were reported, but cloth items worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the blaze.

The incident occurred at Aerosol Services India Private Limited, a textile processing unit located in MIDC Phase 1, Dombivli. Fortunately, all workers managed to escape unharmed.

Namdev Chaudhary, Chief of the Kalyan Fire Station, said, “We received the information around 1 PM. Subsequently, we dispatched eight fire engines to the spot. The fire was brought under control by 3:30 PM, after which a cooling operation was carried out.”

According to fire officials, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed. However, during a preliminary inquiry with workers, it was suspected that the blaze might have been triggered by a short circuit. The fire department will conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
