The blaze occurred around 8:30 AM at a garage located in the Kopri Cloth Market area of Thane East.
An official from the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) of the Thane Municipal Corporation said they received information about the fire and promptly dispatched two fire engines, a pickup vehicle, a JCB machine, one rescue vehicle, and a water tanker to the scene to extinguish the flames.
The garage, owned by Mohammad Shakeel, was completely engulfed in fire.
