Mumbai: Rolls-Royce has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) to enable knowledge exchange and upskilling and to explore opportunities to collaborate on joint projects in areas of mutual interest. As part of this, Rolls-Royce will welcome students from IIT Bombay who have been selected for internship opportunities to work alongside the defence engineering team in Bengaluru.
The MOU was signed recently by Prof. Sachin C. Patwardhan (Dean R&D), IIT Bombay and Mr. G S Selwyn (Executive Vice President) of Rolls-Royce India, in the presence of Mr Alex Zino (Director Business Development and Future Programmes, UK and International) Rolls-Royce and senior representatives from both sides.

Selwyn said, “This partnership with IIT Bombay reflects our broader commitment to building strategic collaborations that advance shared ambitions in innovation, talent development and technology leadership. As we deepen our engagement in India, initiatives like this help unlock new opportunities to co-create solutions, through structured engagement between the academic and industrial ecosystems.”
